Cyrus fuckin' ruled. I ended up in a band with their bass player for a few years. He was one of the best.
I agree with you on the crowd thing, especially at The Crazy Horse. I had a hate/love/hate thing with playing that club, but it was about the only place to play then.

No doubt. Last I heard, the guitarist (Sammy, I think) gave up the gear and hasn't touched a guitar in years.

That's a shame. I learned a few things from watching him play. He had the cheapest, crappiest equipment, but could make it scream.

StereoHype sperm just hit the egg
Wow I haven't logged in here in forever, but I wanted to check to find out who won last night at the IP and is going on to play CPR Fest.

Heard a lot of talk about the night we played with Vysion and Undertoe, and yes there was booing and a lot of talk after by the people there, but I'm hoping that won't come back on us as a band as it was not encouraged or even promoted in that way. I had heard that Vysion made a post about coming out and booing them like StereoHype's fans did for their final last night, and I hated to read that as we can't control what people do at these types of things, which like why Kevin said crowd is not a part of the judging process.

Just like last year's battle with CastorTroy we played, we still had a great time playing although we haven't made it to the finals in those two. The shows are always fun and it's good to meet and hang out with new bands backstage and during the competitions.

We can't change the facts of the night, we came out, played our set, watched the others, lost, and packed up to move on and kept on trucking, had a great time the next day as well w/Subtle Shot, Joshua Sun, and us at Scrapin' the Coast. Actually pretty surprising as the past 2 years we played there was NO reaction whatsoever.

I'll try to sign on here more to get to know all of you guys, promote our shows, and find out what's been going on in the scene as lately I've just been using MySpace. Hope to see you all soon, and that we can put all the bad behind us all and just keep looking forward.

Nicholas
