2- 8 ohm speakers run series = 16 ohm
Jocko, you could just get 4 - 16 ohm speakers, run them parallel, and get 8 ohms a side.
Using what you already have, I thought you could still get 8 ohms per side running the 8 ohm speakers in series. | No, you can't run 2 speakers in series/parallel; it would have to be either series or parallel. It takes 4 speakers to do a series/parallel wiring. That only works in a mono configuration. If you separate 2 sets of 2 speakers in a 412 cabinet for stereo, then they're going to be 2 separate series or parallel circuits.
Some speaker cabinets do have a switch so you can switch impedance with 2 8-ohm speakers by switching from series (16 ohms) to parallel (4 ohms).

But I think if she got out of the house more and away from my parents she would straighten out alot. |

your sister does not do well on alcohol. well, depending on how you look at it at least
and....
I was suspecting that about running 2 speakers in series/parallel. SO, jocko, the best way for you to run your amp, is, 2 16 ohm speakers left, 2 16 ohm speakers right, wire them parallel, OR, use 4 ohm speakers per side and run them in series.... Thus giving you the required 8 ohms for your fantastical Spider III 150w 8 ohm head.
